Disability Awareness

Half-day - Onsite course

Disability Awareness Training

Course Overview

This practical disability awareness training course helps organisations build confidence, improve compliance, and create a more inclusive workplace. It provides delegates with a clear understanding of disability in practice, legal responsibilities under the Equality Act 2010, and the steps employers can take to support disabled employees and candidates more effectively.

Designed for real workplace situations, this course focuses on practical application rather than theory alone. Delegates will explore disability barriers, reasonable adjustments, assistive technology, neurodiversity, mental health, inclusive recruitment, and confident workplace conversations. The course is designed to help organisations improve day-to-day practice while reducing legal risk and strengthening inclusion.

This programme can be delivered as a full course or as two separate half-day sessions:

Understanding Disability & Legal Responsibilities and

Applying Inclusive Practices in the Workplace.

Delegates may attend either session as a stand-alone course, although attending both is recommended for a fuller understanding and stronger practical application.

This is also the only course in this disability suite that takes delegates through the Disability Confident Scheme in a broader and more practical way, including its tiers, benefits, and how organisations can work towards it.
